How good to see them back ;D Fantastic intimate room, pumping crowd but so f**king LOUD (if I was ever going to wake up and start using earplugs - way too late - perhaps this should have been the show). Nice tight set (from my recollection): Rush You Bupata Waste OF Time Nervous At Night Break My Heart Painless Backbone Stoopid One Word Stitch Make It End Hot Air Balloon Got It Bad Early Warning ----- Rush You (Il Grande Silenzio-ish / Sunrise version) One Too Many Aint Gonna Get I believe they only have 30mins on stage at the Gold Coast 600 on Saturday so I'd guess those there will get a fairly 'best of Baby Animals' set as it kinda goes with this sort of territory. The trade off is a lot of people should see a great performance and will know BAs are back. I thought the high points tonight were probably Stitch and Hot Air Balloon which unfortunately could well get left out. Likely too the alternative Rush You version.

DeMarchi released a solo album Telelove (1999) which boasted a strong single Satellites, and the singer was even briefly courted by INXS as a potential replacement for Michael Hutchence before the whole Rockstar phenomenon took off. “I did a lot of work with Andrew (Farris), and in fact, some of the songs on Il Grande Silenzio are songs I wrote with him,” acknowledges DeMarchi. “But it was just never meant to be. I didn’t want to commit to it, and I think some of the guys in that band might have been wary of having a girl singing for the band and it just didn’t happen.

Did the original Australian pressing of the first Baby Animals record include the track "Big Time Friends"? The U.S. pressing has it, but the 1992 Australian Tour Collector's Edition only has it as a bonus live track, and the 2008 remastered version doesn't have it at all.
Also, anyone else notice that the song "Buputa" has multiple spellings? In the original U.S. pressing, it is spelled "Buputa" (emphasis added) on the back of the CD and in the lyric sheet. On the 1994 Australian tour pressing, the song is spelled "Bupata" on the song title list but "Buputa" in the lyrics themselves.
