"Following on from yesterday’s news that Guns N’ Roses will be in Australia to play the V8 Supercars finale at Sydney’s Olympic Park this December, The Beach Boys have been announced as the headliner for the Gold Coast 600 V8 Supercar race.
Playing alongside The Beach Boys on the Saturday night will be a host of reformed golden oldies including Noiseworks, The Baby Animals and The Angels. The Friday and Sunday night line-ups will see The Potbelleez, Sneaky Sound System and Empire Of The Sun all take to the stage to entertain the more ‘nu-wave bogan’ masses."

I didn’t want to commit to it, and I think some of the guys in that band might have been wary of having a girl singing for the band and it just didn’t happen.
