I've heard Baby Animals are playing at the V8 Supercars Gold Coast 600 with The Beach Boys, Noiseworks, The Angels, Mondo Rock, James Reyne and Richard Clapton. Hope this spurs a national tour and the release of the new album.
Anyone else heard anything?

From www.fasterlouder.com.au/news/local/24006/The-Beach-Boys-to-headline-Gold-Coast-600.htm"Following on from yesterday’s news that Guns N’ Roses will be in Australia to play the V8 Supercars finale at Sydney’s Olympic Park this December, The Beach Boys have been announced as the headliner for the Gold Coast 600 V8 Supercar race. Playing alongside The Beach Boys on the Saturday night will be a host of reformed golden oldies including Noiseworks, The Baby Animals and The Angels. The Friday and Sunday night line-ups will see The Potbelleez, Sneaky Sound System and Empire Of The Sun all take to the stage to entertain the more ‘nu-wave bogan’ masses."

hasn’t been all tupperware parties and suburban hedge-trimming since she and Bettencourt tied the knot. DeMarchi released a solo album Telelove (1999) which boasted a strong single Satellites, and the singer was even briefly courted by INXS as a potential replacement for Michael Hutchence before the whole Rockstar phenomenon took off. “I did a lot of work with Andrew (Farris), and in fact, some of the songs on Il Grande Silenzio are songs I wrote with him,” acknowledges DeMarchi. “But it was just never meant to be. I didn’t want to commit to it, and I think some of the guys in that band might have been wary of having a girl singing for the band and it just didn’t happen.

Needless to say, it hasn’t been all tupperware parties and suburban hedge-trimming since she and Bettencourt tied the knot. So yes, we were talking about it. It would have been strange, but interesting.”

the gospel according to BA for some 17 years now. Over the years I've picked up singles withunreleased b-sides and the Australian Tour Edition CD, and even a promo record copany VHS, but I've bemoaned the fact that you guys didn't record more. Doubt you still have the lime-green blouse and leather trousers Suzi! Delighted to hear (belatedly) about the acoustic album, and whispers of a new record...I'll keep my eyes peeled for developments. Gosh, I remember my horror at the review Chris Welsh (is that right, it was sooo long ago!) gave you in Kerrang. It was so idiotic, I think they had to review it again and gave it 4 out of 5, never saw that happen before or since. I actualy wrote a few pieces for Kerrang shortlay after that but I am a mainstream journo now. Still passionate about music too. Have a root through your archives guys - love to hear some live shows if they were ever captured...my god, if that Belfast show is available I'll consider selling my two lwee lads into slavery to obtain a copy (only joking!). Hope you guys, and all belonging to you, are happy and well

Did the original Australian pressing of the first Baby Animals record include the track "Big Time Friends"? The U.S. pressing has it, but the 1992 Australian Tour Collector's Edition only has it as a bonus live track, and the 2008 remastered version doesn't have it at all.
Also, anyone else notice that the song "Buputa" has multiple spellings? In the original U.S. pressing, it is spelled "Buputa" (emphasis added) on the back of the CD and in the lyric sheet. On the 1994 Australian tour pressing, the song is spelled "Bupata" on the song title list but "Buputa" in the lyrics themselves.
